  1. Working Partner
  2. Sleeping Partner

A working partner is one, who invests money, manages, and gets the incentive. 

A sleeping partner is the one, who doesn’t manage but invests. 

Types of Partnership 

  1. Simple partnership
  2. Compound partnership

Specific cases

  • EQUAL MONEY INVESTED WITH DIFFERENT TIME

A’s share of profit and loss/ B’s share of profit and loss = t1/t2

  • DIFFERENT MONEY INVESTED WITH SAME TIME

A’s share of profit and loss / B’s share of profit and loss = x/y (investment)

  • COMPOUND PARTNERSHIP

A’s share of profit and loss/B’s share of profit and loss = xt1/yt2
